HUAWEI AND PUBLIC SERVICES AGENCY AGREED ON COOPERATION

Huawei Tech Investment Tashkent Company in cooperation with the Development Strategy Center has organized a regular visit to the People’s Republic of China for the representatives of government agencies, including director of the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, head of the department at the Office of the President, heads of departments at the General Prosecutor’s Office and Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement, deputy directors of the Center for Development and Introduction of Computer and Information Technologies (UZINFOCOM) and Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center, as well as project coordinators at the Development Strategy Center.

The main purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the activities of the headquarters of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, exchange of experience and familiarization with new technologies, which in the future can be applied in the digital transformation of society and government agencies of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Besides, the representatives of our country visited Hangzhou and Jiaxing, where they familiarized with the potential of the e-government project and the use of ICT in the provision of public services. In the city of Shenzhen, within the Safe and Smart City Projects the group of officials from Uzbekistan got acquainted with Huawei solutions, thanks to which the efficiency of city management and services increased.

When visiting the company’s headquarters, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Huawei Tech Investment Tashkent in support of mutual interest in establishing, developing and deepening cooperation in introducing innovative forms of provision of public services.

“We plan to implement joint educational and research programs, projects to create and develop science-intensive and resource-saving technologies, and to exchange open information and innovative technologies used in the provision of public services. In the course of cooperation, the possibility of creating new methods of provision of public services using new technologies will be considered. I hope the delegation will receive the necessary information and will be able to exchange experience with Chinese colleagues and further introduce new solutions to the digital transformation of the society,” Wang Peng, Director of Huawei Tech Investment Tashkent Company, said.

During the meetings, the representatives of Uzbekistan government agencies showed interest in cooperating in the development of common approaches to the design, development, implementation and integration of information systems, resources and databases used in the provision of public services.
