The Development Strategy Center management and specialists met October 17 with Mr. Trevor Reaney, Former Chief Executive of the Northern Ireland Assembly and Mr. Daniel Hull, Senior Researcher of the Northern Ireland Assembly, as well as Nargiza Abdukadirova, Country Representative of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy in Uzbekistan. The meeting discussed the outcomes of the implementation of the Action Strategy and the state programs within it, as well as the reforms aimed at increasing the role of parliamentarians in the improvement of the system of state and public construction. Mr. Akmal Burkhanov briefed the guests on the activity of the Development Strategy Center, its goals, tasks and priorities, including joint projects with the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, public discussions of draft laws, meetings and conferences on the Action strategy implementation with relevant ministries, agencies and organizations. In their turn, Mr. Trevor Reaney and Mr. Daniel Hull expressed their high interest in the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan, highly evaluated the transformations and willed to support positive changes in the country.
