Development Strategy center


As is known, the second area on ensuring the rule of law and reforming the judicial and legal system under the State Program on the implementation of the National Action Strategy on Five Priority Development Areas 2017–2021 in the ‘Year of Active Investments and Social Development’ envisages holding of the first international legal forum ‘Tashkent Law Spring’ this April in Tashkent. The event is scheduled for April 25-27.

The preparations for the prestigious conference, which is organized by the Ministry of Justice in conjunction with the Development Strategy Center, ‘Yuksalish’ Nationwide Movement, the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and relevant national and international organizations have been in full swing.

The forum will be attended by Ministers of Justice of foreign states and Uzbekistan, representatives of international organizations, leading legal and consulting firms, scholars and experts, as well as executives of government agencies and companies, representatives of legal services, legal experts, notaries, and lawyers.

More than 50 experts from the US, UK, France, Austria, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Russia and other countries have confirmed their participation in the Forum as speakers. The list of guests includes ministers, heads of international organizations, faculty of Harvard and Bologna universities, the Boston University School of Law, Hastings College of the Law of the University of California, and lawyers of world-renowned law firms like Dentons, White&Case (United States), Reed Smith LLP (United States), Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (United Kingdom), Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLC (United States), Norton Rose Fulbright LLP (United Kingdom).

Representatives of almost all the major arbitration centers worldwide, including the Vienna International Arbitration Center (VIAC), the European Center for Dispute Resolution (ECDR), the International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes of the World Bank Group (ICSID), Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC) will share their experience at the forum.
