June 26, 2019, the Development Strategy Center (DSC) received delegates of Japan led by Ms. Isoi Miha, Lawyer, Senior Law and Justice Adviser at the headquarters of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The parties discussed the issues of cooperation to improve the system of justice and legislation in Uzbekistan. Isoi Miha highly commended the ongoing reforms in the field of legislation and justice, noting the close cooperation in the field of law between Uzbekistan and Japan since 1990.
The Japanese side also showed interest in projects and activities of the Development Strategy Center in the framework of the second track of the Action Strategy. The participants also discussed the ongoing economic reforms in Uzbekistan, specifically, the investment issues.
In conclusion, Isoi Miha expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and her readiness for the further cooperation.
