NEW PAGE IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE

On the threshold of the 28th anniversary of the independence of our country, the Development Strategy Center and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a round table on ‘Independence Is in the Fate of Youth’.

The discussion brought together senior officials of the Development Strategy Center, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, young professionals, and media representatives.

It was opened and moderated by the Head of the Development Strategy Center Eldor Tulyakov.

In his opening remarks, he drew attention to the fact that the accelerated development of any country, the wellbeing of the people are inextricably linked with the level of attention paid to the education and upbringing of youth, their future, and that setting the state youth policy as the priority area comes precisely from this historical truth.

The parliament adopted more than 40 laws on youth, ratified more than 30 international legal documents, which proves the creation of a reliable legal foundation for the comprehensive support of the younger generation.

Deputy Minister of Finance Shakhruh Sharakhmetov also spoke in the opening part of the event.

The participants exchanged views on the reforms in recent years. Specialists of the Center provided detailed information on the tasks set in the National Action Strategy on Five Priority Development Areas 2017-2021 with regard to youth policies, and their implementation.

They paid close attention also to the projects that are underway in pursuance of the Presidential Decree ‘On the state program Yoshlar - Kelajagimiz‘ dated June 27, 2018.

President’s five important initiatives on regular action in social, spiritual and educational fields were also highlighted at the meeting, as they have marked a completely new stage in the upbringing and education of young people in Uzbekistan’s chronicles.

The young participants of the round-table discussion emphasized that the attention paid to youth in Uzbekistan has been expanding their opportunities, and motivating them for making a worthy contribution to the development of the state and society. It is enough to apply them robustly, act and strive for the goal. The participants discussed proposals to further increase enthusiasm in the young people.

Closing the event, the Development Strategy Center and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum.
