THE CONTENT OF THE TASKS SET FORTH IN THE 2024 STATE PROGRAM WAS DELIVERED TO NGO REPRESENTATIVES

On March 6 of this year, as a result of collaboration of the Development Strategy Center, the National Association of non-governmental non-profit organizations of Uzbekistan, the Public fund for the support of non-governmental non-profit organizations and other Institutions of civil society under the Oliy Majlis, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic "The role and place of NGOs in ensuring the implementation of the tasks outlined in the state program "Year of support for youth and business".

Members of Parliament, as well as representatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations and civil society institutions from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent city attended in the event.

During the roundtable discussion, Development Strategy Center experts informed participants about the five priority areas of the state program for implementing the "Uzbekistan - 2030" strategy in the "Year of support for youth and business".

An exchange of views occured on measures in the State program of 2024, aimed at insuring high economic growth rates based on the principles of "green economy", improving environmental conditions, widely introducing standards for efficient use of water and other natural resources, and implementing reforms to further improve the management system focused on the interests of the people.

There was also discussion about the tasks assigned to non-governmental non-profit organizations in this year's state program. In particular, beginning from December 1 of this year, an experiment will be launched in Tashkent city to provide social services at the expense of the National Social Protection Agency through relevant non-governmental organizations.

Furthermore, according to the state program, a new procedure will be introduced for consultations with civil society institutions during the legislative process.

Another important point has been brought to the public's attention: this year, the Development Strategy Centеr and the “Yuksalish” movement were also tasked to critically examine the implementation of the State Programme, particularly in terms of public opinion through field visits.

During the round table participants discussed the issues of implementing the tasks defined in the state programme, monitoring works through public control and close collaboration with state organizations and local authorities in this respect.
