REFORM PROGRAMS, THE STATE PROGRAM AND THE “UZBEKISTAN-2030” STRATEGY: TASKS AIMED AT SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC GROWTH WERE ANALYZED.

The round table at the Development Strategy Center in the direction of “Ensuring the well-being of the population through sustainable economic growth” was dedicated to the public discussion of the draft reform programs for priority areas in the “Year of Development of Mahalla and Society as a whole” and the draft State Program for the implementation of the “Uzbekistan-2030” Strategy.

The event was attended by responsible staff of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Tourism Committee, Tax Committee, Agency for the Development of Light Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, experts and representatives of the mass media.

At the round table, the Head of the Department of the Development Strategy Center, Jamshid Sharipov, spoke about the tasks defined in the reform programs for priority areas in the “Year of Development of Mahalla and Society as a whole” in the direction of ensuring the well-being of the population through sustainable economic growth.

‒ The reform programs for priority areas in the “Year of Development of Mahalla and Society as a whole” include such indicators as bringing GDP to $167 billion, ensuring employment for 1 million citizens, lifting 181 thousand families out of poverty, reducing the level of unemployment and poverty to 4.5 percent, providing more than 73 thousand families with housing through the allocation of 23 trillion soums of mortgage loans, and attracting 50 billion dollars of foreign investment to the economy. The State Program for the implementation of the “Uzbekistan-2030” Strategy in the “Year of Development of Mahalla and Society as a whole” sets out a number of indicators that are important because they are aimed at ensuring the well-being of the population through sustainable economic growth, – said Jamshid Sharipov.

Representatives of ministries and agencies who attended the event explained the specific tasks related to their areas, outlined in the draft reform programs for priority areas in the “Year of Development of Mahalla and Society as a whole” and the State Program for the Implementation of the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, as well as the indicators set.

In particular, the ministries and agencies discussed tasks within the framework of reform programs for priority areas in the “Year of Mahalla and Society as a whole”.

In their speeches, responsible officials from ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Mining and Geology, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, the Tourism Committee, and the Tax Committee analysed the ways to achieve the indicators set in these tasks.
